Our client is seeking a proactive and organised Sales Coordinator to play a key role in supporting the sales function and ensuring smooth communication between the business and its customers. This is a varied role combining sales administration with customer-facing responsibilities, including outbound calls to generate orders and leads.
Key Duties:
- Process customer orders accurately and ensure timely delivery
- Research and canvass for new business opportunities
- Prepare quotes, invoices, and other sales-related documentation
- Maintain and update internal systems with customer and order information
- Handle inbound customer calls and make outbound calls to existing customers
- Manage customer complaints effectively and ensure satisfactory resolutions
- Approve orders for accounts exceeding original credit limits
- Support the finance team with credit control and chasing late payments
- Issue credit notes as required
- Engage prospects through cold calls to generate new leads
- Identify sales opportunities and pass qualified leads to the sales team
Key Skills Required:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or similar sector
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, “can-do” attitude with the ability to work well as part of a team
