Key Responsibilities

As a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions to help students achieve their potential
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence and curiosity
  • Assist with experiments, lesson preparation, and resources in Science labs
  • Contribute to extracurricular STEM clubs, trips, and competitions
  • Act as a positive role model, showing pupils the excitement of studying Science

Who We’re Looking For

To succeed as a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant, you should have:

  • A 2:1 or higher in a Science or STEM-related subject
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for sharing your passion
  • A genuine interest in supporting young people in their education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, adaptable, and positive attitude
  • An interest in progressing into teacher training in the future
  • Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
