Location: Lewisham, Deptford, SE10
Start date: September 2025
Hours: 8:30AM-4:00PM Mon-Friday
Are you currently completing, or have you already completed, the necessary steps to obtain QTS, and are you eager to kickstart your teaching career in a supportive, rewarding school environment that will help you grow professionally?
Do you hold a minimum of a 2:1 degree in a relevant Science discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a combined science degree) from a reputable university, and do you feel confident in your subject knowledge to teach it at secondary school level?
Do you have any teaching experience, such as through school placements, tutoring, mentoring, or other educational roles, and are you confident in delivering high-quality lessons to students of varying abilities?
Science Teacher/ Science ECT – Candidate Specification
In order to be considered for the Science Teacher/ Science ECT role you should:
- Academic Qualifications: Hold a 2:1 or higher degree in a relevant Science subject from a reputable university
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Have completed or are in the process of completing QTS
- Teaching Experience: Possess prior teaching experience, including placements or tutoring roles
- Commitment to Excellence: Demonstrate a passion for science education and a commitment to student success
- Team Player: Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues

- Plan and Deliver Engaging Lessons: Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring lessons are stimulating and accessible to all students
