We are working with a well-established primary special school in the northern part of Birmingham that is seeking a compassionate and motivated SEN Teacher to join their team in September 2025. The school provides a supportive, inclusive setting for pupils aged 4–11 with a variety of special educational needs, offering a small class structure and high staff-to-pupil ratios to ensure personalised support for every child.

SEN Teacher - About the Role

  • Full-time, permanent SEN Teacher position

  • Suitable for experienced teachers and ECTs

SEN Teacher - Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons to meet a range of SEN needs
  • Collaborate with the SENCo, TAs, and external specialists to deliver tailored support
  • Create a nurturing and structured classroom environment
  • Track pupil progress and adjust strategies to support ongoing development
  • Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Promote students’ academic, emotional, and social growth

SEN Teacher - What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an ECT qualifying in summer 2025
  • Experience working with SEN pupils, either in teaching or support roles
  • A degree in Education, Psychology, SEN, or a related field
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive, empathetic, and flexible teaching approach
  • A strong belief in inclusive education and the potential of every child
