Are you an SEN Teacher looking to make a real difference within a specialist setting?
A well-established all-through SEN school in Wood Green is seeking a dedicated and adaptable SEN Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work with pupils across a range of ages, supporting those with autism, SEMH and complex learning needs in a structured and supportive environment.
The school takes a child-centred approach, focusing on communication, emotional regulation and independence alongside academic development. You will play a key role in delivering engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual needs, helping pupils build confidence and achieve their potential.
Key responsibilities:
Plan and deliver differentiated lessons across the curriculum (flexible depending on experience and phase)
Adapt teaching to meet the needs of pupils with SEND and SEMH
Create a positive, structured classroom environment that supports behaviour and engagement
Work closely with teaching assistants and therapists to deliver a collaborative approach
Monitor and assess pupil progress, ensuring alignment with EHCP outcomes
Implement behaviour strategies that support emotional regulation
Build strong relationships with pupils, families and external professionals
We are looking for someone who:
Holds QTS or equivalent
Has experience teaching within SEN, primary or secondary settings
Has experience with SEND/SEMH or is confident working in a specialist environment
Is confident managing behaviour using a calm, consistent approach
Is flexible, proactive and committed to inclusive education
Has strong communication and teamwork skills
