KPi Education is supporting the recruitment of Teaching Assistants for a brand-new SEN provision opening in Ealing this September.

This is a unique opportunity to join a school at its foundation stage and contribute to building a calm, structured, and therapeutic learning environment.

Start Dates & Induction

  • The school will be open after Easter, allowing Teaching Assistants to start earlier to support setup, routines, and pupil integration
  • Teaching Assistants starting in September will complete a two-week induction during the final two weeks of the summer term, ensuring a confident and well-supported start

About the Role – SEN Teaching Assistant

You will support pupils in small classes, working alongside teachers and specialist staff to meet a wide range of SEN needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with EHCPs
  • Supporting children with Autism (ASC), SEMH, ADHD, and trauma-related needs
  • Assisting with lesson delivery and adapting learning activities
  • Supporting emotional regulation, behaviour management, and engagement
  • Helping pupils access the curriculum and develop independence
  • Supporting transitions, routines, and structured activities
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists

Person Specification

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have experience supporting children or young people (school, SEN, youth work, care, or similar)
  • Are calm, patient, resilient, and emotionally intelligent
  • Have a genuine interest in SEN, mental health, or therapeutic education
  • Can build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Are reliable, reflective, and eager to learn
  • Graduates in Psychology, Education, Criminology, or related fields are highly encouraged to apply
