Are you an experienced and passionate SEN professional ready to take on a rewarding leadership role?

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in St Helens is seeking a dedicated and highly capable SENCO to join their team on a permanent basis with an immediate start.

The Role

As SENCO, you will:

  • Lead and manage the SEND strategy across the school
  • Oversee provision for pupils with a wide range of needs, including those with EHCPs
  • Work closely with class teachers to ensure high-quality, inclusive teaching and effective differentiation
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions and support programmes
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure joined-up support
  • Advise and support staff on best practice in SEND
  • Play a key role within the leadership team, contributing to whole-school improvement

What We’re Looking For

  • A qualified teacher with the National Award for SEN Coordination (or working towards / willing to complete)
  • Proven experience supporting pupils with a range of SEN needs, such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language needs
  • Strong understanding of SEND legislation, EHCP processes, and intervention strategies
  • Experience working in a school with a high level of SEN needs
  • Confident leadership skills with the ability to support, challenge, and develop staff
  • A genuine passion for inclusion and improving outcomes for all pupils
