Duties:
Senior Finance Officer / Bolton
37 hrs Monday – Friday (8am – 5pm Mon – Thurs, 8am -12 Noon Friday)
KPI Recruiting are proud to be representing a leading supply company, seeking a driven and experienced Senior Finance Officer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will play a vital role, overseeing day to day logistics operations across all air, sea and road shipments.
. This role will involve the daily management of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Payroll, and all Balance Sheet reconciliations. Being well-organised, self-motivated, punctual, and flexible is essential, as well as being a team player.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team and ledgers.
- Provide working capital management and cashflow forecasts.
- Control weekly supplier and expense payment runs in line with the cashflow forecast.
- Administer credit control to ensure timely cash receipts in line with the cash forecast.
- Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments, and other accounting entries.
- Administer all month-end Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Process payroll, including salaries and deductions, working in partnership with payroll provider.
- Maintain precise payroll records and ensure data confidentiality.
- Provide training and development to members of the finance team.
- Implement corporate governance procedures, risk management, and internal controls.
- Support the year-end audit process.
- Play an active role in delivering key Finance projects.
- Perform any other ad hoc duties as may be required, commensurate with the grade of the post.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Financial Accountant.
- Solid knowledge of advanced accounting and financial principles.
- A problem solver with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills across all levels of internal and external business. Proficient in written, verbal, and IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships (in person and virtual).
- Proactive and able to work independently, setting and monitoring workloads and targets.
- Ability to use initiative effectively.
Desirable:
- Relevant qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA, part-qualified, or qualified by experience).
- Experience with Sage Line 50 and Progress Plus.
