Are you an experienced production leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys driving team performance on the shop floor?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a modern manufacturing business where you'll take ownership of daily production activity, lead and develop teams, and play a key role in driving efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement across the operation.
The Role:
- Create and execute the daily production schedule.
- Plan and coordinate labour, materials, and resources to ensure smooth and efficient production.
- Lead, motivate, and direct production teams on shift.
- Monitor team capability and support training, development, and performance management.
- Ensure staffing levels and skills are aligned to operational requirements.
- Liaise with maintenance to ensure equipment uptime and reliability.
- Communicate effectively across departments to ensure smooth production flow.
- Monitor and report on KPI performance, investigating deviations and supporting root cause analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and cost.
- Support audit activity and ensure compliance with standard procedures.
What we're looking for:
- Strong leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to motivate, manage, and develop teams.
- Hands-on experience in production operations and decision-making.
- Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities.
- Experience with KPI tracking, problem solving, and continuous improvement.
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- IT literate (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Desirable:
- Experience in clean room or precision manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of electromechanical assembly, testing, or high-spec manufacturing processes.
