The Role:
As the school’s Speech & Language Therapist, you will deliver targeted, meaningful interventions to pupils with a range of communication needs. You’ll work one-to-one and in small groups, supporting students with speech, language, and communication difficulties that may impact learning and social interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and deliver tailored speech & language interventions
- Support pupils with SLCN, Developmental Language Disorder, and related needs
- Contribute to and review EHCP targets
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff
- Provide advice, strategies, and training to school staff and parents
- Monitor progress and adapt interventions to maximise outcomes
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Speech & Language Therapist (HCPC registered)
- Experience working with children or young people (school-based preferred)
- Passionate about inclusive education and communication development
- Confident working independently and as part of a wider team
