KPI Education are delighted to be working with a SEN School, a forward-thinking specialist provision in London, to appoint a passionate and committed Speech & Language Therapist to join their expanding multidisciplinary team.
About the School
This SEN School supports pupils aged 5–16 with a range of complex needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs, speech and language difficulties, and associated learning needs.
The school operates a truly collaborative model, bringing together teachers, therapists, pastoral teams and external professionals to ensure every pupil receives tailored, holistic support.
The Role
As the school’s Speech & Language Therapist, you will play a central role in supporting pupils’ communication development and enabling access to learning.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting speech, language and communication assessments
- Designing and delivering individual and small-group interventions
- Writing and reviewing EHCP reports and contributing to annual reviews
- Working closely with teaching staff to embed communication strategies across the curriculum
- Training and supporting staff in implementing SALT-informed approaches
- Liaising with families, external agencies and Local Authorities
- Maintaining accurate clinical records in line with HCPC and professional standards
You will have your own dedicated therapy space and the autonomy to shape interventions, while benefiting from a supportive senior leadership team who understand the importance of integrated therapeutic provision.

Newly Qualified SALTs:
- Structured induction and mentoring available
- Support with completing competencies and professional development goals
- Opportunity to build experience within a diverse SEN setting
Experienced SALTs:
- Opportunity to lead on whole-school communication strategies
- Scope to supervise assistants or junior therapists (where applicable)
- Ability to contribute to service development within a growing provision
Person Specification
- HCPC registered Speech & Language Therapist (or registration pending for NQTs)
- Degree in Speech & Language Therapy
- Experience or placement experience within SEN settings desirable
- Understanding of Autism, SEMH and communication disorders
- Strong report writing and assessment skills
- Passion for improving outcomes for children with complex needs
