Your Responsibilities
As a STEM Graduate Academic Mentor, you will:
- Deliver one-to-one and small-group academic mentoring
- Support students across Maths, Science, and wider STEM subjects
- Help raise attainment through targeted intervention programmes
- Work with high-achieving students preparing for examinations
- Support university, apprenticeship, and STEM career aspirations
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
- Act as a positive academic role model throughout the school
Who We're Looking For
The ideal STEM Graduate Academic Mentor will possess:
- A 2:1 degree or above in a STEM-related subject
- Strong academic credentials throughout education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for learning and academic achievement
- The ability to motivate and inspire young people
- Ambitions within education, industry, research, or leadership
Previous school experience is not required.
What matters most is your academic strength, enthusiasm, and ability to help students realise their potential.
