The Role
As a Trainee Electrical Tester, you will be responsible for testing electrical components and assemblies to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. Full training will be provided, allowing you to gain practical experience while working alongside experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret work orders and testing instructions.
- Position, align and prepare electrical components for testing and assembly.
- Test finished products, components and assemblies to ensure they meet specifications.
- Use calibrated testing equipment safely and accurately under supervision.
- Record test results and inspection data accurately.
- Identify, tag and document accepted or rejected components.
- Assist with repairing or replacing faulty electrical components.
- Work closely with supervisors and colleagues to ensure production targets are achieved.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.
What We're Looking For
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Previous electrical or engineering experience is beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.
- Ability to follow instructions and work accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
- Reliable, organised and enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks and occasional heavy lifting.
- Previous electrical or engineering experience is beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.
