KPI Education is working in partnership with a high-performing secondary school in Hertfordshire to recruit an ambitious Trainee History Teacher for a fully salaried teacher training programme starting this September.

Your role:

Working alongside experienced teachers, you'll gradually develop the skills and confidence needed to become an exceptional History teacher. Throughout the academic year you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Inspire students with your enthusiasm for historical events, cultures and political change
  • Support pupils of all abilities to achieve excellent academic outcomes
  • Develop outstanding classroom management techniques
  • Participate fully in school life, enrichment activities and departmental planning
  • Receive weekly coaching, observations and structured feedback

We're looking for graduates who have:

  • A 2:1 or above in History or a closely related Humanities subject
  • Strong academic credentials throughout education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for education and inspiring young people
  • The ambition to build a long-term teaching career
  • The Right to Work in the UK (please note sponsorship is not available)
