4 on 4 off | 07:00 – 19:00
KPI Recruiting are working with a well-established organisation to recruit an experienced Transport Operations Co-ordinator. This is a great opportunity for someone with transport or logistics experience to join a fast-paced operation and play a key role in coordinating daily transport activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the daily transport plan, ensuring service levels and operational requirements are met.
- Coordinate drivers, vehicles, routes and workloads effectively.
- Monitor live transport operations and resolve issues in real time.
- Make adjustments to routes, workloads and resources to maintain performance.
- Act as a key contact for drivers, customers and internal teams.
- Support drivers with diversions, breakdowns, delays and access restrictions.
- Ensure compliance with Drivers' Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive and Operator Licence requirements.
- Conduct driver briefings and debriefings.
- Complete audits and support incident and accident investigations.
- Maintain accurate updates across transport management and vehicle tracking systems.
- Complete transport documentation, compliance records and operational reports.
- Liaise with warehouse, planning, customer service and operations teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance customer service.
- Support driver training, coaching and the promotion of a positive safety culture.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within transport, logistics or distribution.
- Strong understanding of transport operations and compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience using Transport Management Systems and vehicle tracking platforms.
- Confident using Microsoft Office.
- Proactive, flexible and team-focused approach.
