Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm
The Role
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Upholstery Assistant to join our production team.
This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to learn new skills and work alongside an experienced and supportive team. You will assist in the manufacture of bespoke upholstered panels used in specialist environments, helping to create high-quality products that make a real difference to end users.
The position involves patterning, cutting, sewing and fitting fabric covers while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and workmanship. As the role requires regular lifting and manoeuvring of materials weighing between 15kg and 30kg, applicants should be physically fit and comfortable working within a manufacturing environment.
This role would particularly suit someone with a creative flair who enjoys working with different materials, takes pride in producing well-finished products and enjoys seeing a project progress from start to finish. An eye for detail, colour, shape and presentation, combined with strong practical skills, will help you succeed in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Pattern PVC vinyl fabric around foam and MDF panels
- Cut and sew vinyl covers
- Fit covers to panels and secure using staples
- Read and interpret production drawings and measurements
- Carry out work safely in line with health and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area
- Support colleagues and contribute to the efficient operation of the production department
Essential Skills and Attributes
- Experience using hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Good measuring and cutting accuracy
- Strong attention to detail

- Physically capable of lifting and moving materials weighing between 15kg and 30kg
Working Hours
- Full-time, permanent position
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm
- Occasional overtime available
- Immediate start available
