Duties:
Warehouse Coordinator
Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm
The Role
Our client is looking for a Warehouse Coordinator to provide administrative support to the efficient operation of the cold store and warehouse.
The role will be responsible for ensuring that goods received, stored and dispatched are accurately recorded and controlled through the warehouse management and ERP systems. You will play an important role in maintaining stock accuracy, product traceability, customer service and compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify delivery documentation for goods in and out against purchase orders and supplier paperwork
- Ensure external stock is transferred and monitored accurately
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies relating to quantities, batch numbers, expiry dates and damaged goods
- Process customer returns
- Maintain accurate inventory records within warehouse systems
- Support cycle counts, stock takes and inventory audits
- Generate stock reports when required for management and production teams
- Produce delivery notes, shipping labels and transport paperwork where required
- Ensure full product traceability from receipt through to dispatch
- Maintain document control and filing systems
- Act as a key point of contact between the Warehouse, Production, Planning, Customer Service and Transport teams
- Maintain accurate records of supplier delivery schedules and stock movements
- Provide administrative support to warehouse team members and management
- Support the logistics team where required
Essential Experience
- Previous experience working within a warehouse or logistics environment
- Experience with stock control and inventory management
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Experience using warehouse management or ERP systems
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments
- The ability to investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
Desirable Experience
It would also be beneficial to have experience with:
- SAP, M3, Dynamics, Sage or similar ERP systems
- Advanced Excel, including Power Query, Power Pivot or macros
- Power BI
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Document control systems
