The Role
As a Trainee Electrical Tester, you will be responsible for testing electrical components and assemblies to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. Full training will be provided, allowing you to gain practical experience while working alongside experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret work orders and testing instructions.
- Position, align and prepare electrical components for testing and assembly.
- Test finished products, components and assemblies to ensure they meet specifications.
- Use calibrated testing equipment safely and accurately under supervision.
- Record test results and inspection data accurately.
- Identify, tag and document accepted or rejected components.
- Assist with repairing or replacing faulty electrical components.
- Work closely with supervisors and colleagues to ensure production targets are achieved.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.

KPI Recruiting are working with a leading specialist engineering business that provides servicing, maintenance, testing, and installation support for industrial dust extraction, filtration, and Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems across the UK.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Service Engineer with a strong background in LEV, dust extraction, filtration systems, or industrial ventilation equipment.

The Role
As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Servicing, maintaining, and repairing industrial dust extraction and filtration systems
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support
- Inspecting and testing LEV systems in line with current regulations
- Fault finding on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment
- Working on bag filters, cartridge filters, cyclones, extraction fans, ductwork, and associated equipment
- Supporting installation and commissioning activities when required
- Producing service reports and recommendations following site visits
- Maintaining excellent customer relationships whilst representing the business on customer sites
We Are Looking For
- Previous experience as a Service Engineer, LEV Engineer, Filtration Engineer, Extraction Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or Maintenance Engineer
- Experience working on dust extraction, fume extraction, filtration, ventilation, or air handling systems
- Knowledge of manufacturers such as Nederman, MikroPul, Donaldson, Camfil, Filtermist, Absolent, or similar equipment would be highly advantageous
- Understanding of LEV regulations and compliance requirements
- P601 qualification desirable but not essential
- Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
- Basic electrical knowledge advantageous
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Willingness to travel to customer sites

The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Manager to join a leading food manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for managing and optimising daily production activities, ensuring operational targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and in line with the highest quality and food safety standards.
The successful candidate will oversee both low-risk and high-risk manufacturing areas, driving performance, continuous improvement, labour efficiency, and operational excellence across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily manufacturing operations to ensure production schedules are delivered on time and in full (OTIF)
- Drive production performance through effective management of OEE, labour utilisation, and operational efficiencies
- Implement and promote Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor product yields and control costs by reducing waste across raw materials, packaging, and labour
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety, quality, and hygiene standards across all production areas
- Maintain robust segregation controls between low-risk and high-risk environments to protect product integrity
- Ensure the site remains audit-ready for customer, regulatory, and third-party audits
- Lead, coach, and develop Production Supervisors and Line Leaders to build a high-performing and engaged workforce
- Support workforce planning, training, succession planning, and performance management activities
- Work closely with Technical, Engineering, Planning, Supply Chain, HR, and Health & Safety teams to deliver operational objectives
About You
- A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a Production Manager or senior manufacturing leadership position within food manufacturing
- Proven experience managing operations within a high-risk or high-care food production environment
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing and motivating large production teams
- Experience delivering key operational KPIs, including OEE, waste reduction, labour efficiency, and productivity improvements
- Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets, yields, and operational costs effectively
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
Essential Qualifications
- Food Safety Level 3 or 4
- HACCP Level 3 or 4
Desirable Qualifications
- Leadership or Management qualification (ILM Level 5 or equivalent)
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification

About the role

The rate of pay as a Food Production Operative is:
- £12.71 p/h
The duties and responsibilities as a Food Production Operative are:
- Removing large cheese blocks from cardboard boxes or plastic crates
- Checking cheese blocks for damage, foreign objects, or plastic contamination (e.g. plastic or cardboard debris) before processing
- Placing unwrapped cheese blocks onto conveyor belts or into knockout machinery for further processing
- Manually lifting and handling cheese blocks (typically 20-30kg) and feeding them into the production line
- Removing and recycling cardboard and plastic waste generated during the de-boxing process
- Breaking down cardboard and disposing of plastic liner waste appropriately
- Recording raw material usage and returning pallets to storage areas
- Maintaining a clean work environment and ensuring machinery and infeed areas are properly sanitised
The ideal candidate for a Food Production Operative would need:
- Ability to safely and consistently lift heavy items (20-30kg)
- Must be comfortable working in hot environments, which can reach up to 40°C
- Ensuring all packaging is fully removed to prevent contamination
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and keep production lines running smoothly
- Must be comfortable working in a chilled environment
- Available to work 4 shifts per week (16:00- 02:00)
- A valid driving license and access to a vehicle is essential due to the rural location of the site
- Willingness to support colleagues and follow instructions
- Prior experience working in Food Production is desirable but not essential
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Additional information needed as a Food Production Operative is:
- Ensure all walkways both In and out of the building are adhered too
- Smoking / vaping is only permitted in the designated smoking areas
- Arrive at the canteen in full PPE ensuring that is warn at all times
- No headphones to be worn on the production line or around the building
- No jewellery to be worn on the production line
- Hair to be clean and tied away from the face
- No heavy makeup / false eyelashes / false nails
