About the Role
KPI Recruiting are looking for a Blending Specialist to join a busy production team at our client’s manufacturing facility in Crewe. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for maintaining high-quality standards in food production. You will work in a fast-paced environment, handling the preparation and blending of ingredients to ensure the desired flavor profiles and consistency.
Key Responsibilities

Blend Preparation: Measure and mix flavorings and ingredients according to specific recipes and quality standards.

Quality Control: Conduct taste tests and inspections to ensure all blends meet company standards for flavor, aroma, and consistency.

Production Operation: Safely operate blending equipment, ensuring it is properly calibrated and maintained.

Inventory Management: Monitor ingredient stock levels, alerting supervisors when supplies are low and assisting with stock ordering.

Documentation & Reporting: Keep detailed records of batches, including ingredient measurements, blending times, and quality checks.

Safety & Cleanliness: Follow all safety protocols and cleanliness standards to maintain a safe, hygienic working environment.

Collaboration: Work closely with the production team to meet daily goals and ensure smooth operations.

Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and offer suggestions for process and product improvements.
Required skills
Essential:

Attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.

Familiarity with food safety standards.

Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Experience or willingness to learn to operate blending machinery.

Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
-
Experience in food production or blending.
-
Familiarity with flavor profiles and blending techniques.

Certification in food safety or relevant training.
Additional Information
-
Full-time hours with 12-hour shifts - 6:00 am – 6:00 pm.

On-site facilities: toilets, canteen, car park, and vending machines.
-
Payment made weekly on Fridays.
- Rate: £12.21/h.
