Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) - Days (no shifts) - Full or Part Qualified

Days: Monday - Friday 08:00 to 16:45

Friday 07:00 - 15:00 after a successful probationary period

£35,000 - £40,000 - Macclesfield

We now have an opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join our team in Macclesfield with occasional travel to other local sites (within 1 hours' drive).  On a day-to-day basis you will report into our Engineering Team Leader and be responsible for all aspects of maintenance and repair, predominantly to our machinery but will include some buildings maintenance.

Skills & Experience

• Extensive Electrical knowledge 16^th or 17th Edition Wiring regulations - progressing to 18^th
• Experience in an engineering maintenance or service role is essential
• Educated to HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) but will also consider part qualified candidates with a view to developing skills and experience, however you must have an industry recognised electrical qualification e.g. Diploma/City & guilds) - thisIs non-negotiable and salary will DOE
• Excellent fault -finding skills are crucial, especially; motor drives, temperature controllers, able to fault find on PLC and other control systems
• Competent in mechanical repairs

• Ability to facilitate repairs under pressure and with excellent attention to detail

• Driving licence
• Experience carrying out preventative maintenance tasks
• Flexible and able to adapt to situations as they occur
• Able to work in a team and independently
• IT literate; including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook,), Gradus CMMS system
• Familiar with building maintenance tasks
