This contract will be a temporary role working for a well-known UK high street retailer within their head office and logistics centre. This company is vibrant, fun and a diverse business filled with talented experts who thrive on our inclusive culture and ambition to strive for success.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience of building management, maintenance and site security
- Handyman skills/ low level DIY may be required
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and requirements and, experience of maintaining accurate and up-to date administration, reports and records as required
- The expertise necessary to be vigilant for any health and safety hazards; reporting and mitigating risk immediately and appropriately
- Resilience, adaptability and commitment to work as part of a team
- Great time management and organisational skills and be proactive and driven to maintain the best standards
- Good communication and interpersonal skills and maintain excellent relationships across the business
Monday- Friday 9:00-17:30
Weekly Pay- Every Friday
Other responsibilities/requirements
- Talk and be engaging with colleagues at all levels
- Calm and level headed (warehouse is quite old so there can be things that break or need repairing)
- Show initiative
- Fits port of call for any maintenance issues that rise
- Deal with any maintenance emergencies- such as boiler breaking. Ensure reported and contractors contacted to organise repairs
- Milk delivery every week- collect milk and distribute around offices
- Water bottle stations serviced
- Replenish milk/tea/coffee in directorskitchens
- Daily walk around office and grounds/ slip and trip hazards/ not too detailed
- Tues & Thurs are the days when the WFH staff are in Head Office, walk around and check with all colleagues that they have everything they need
- Meet contractors if planned and show them area
- Check first aid is stocked
- If planned work is taking place- assist with sorting equipment and repurpose or get rid of anything broken in skip
