Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 in subjects like History, English, and Geography
  • Assisting teachers with planning and delivering engaging, thought-provoking lessons
  • Providing one-to-one or small group academic support for students who may need additional help
  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Encouraging students’ critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills
  • Collaborating with staff to support students’ academic and personal development
  • Offering guidance and mentorship to pupils preparing for exams or coursework
  • Playing an active role in school life, including enrichment and extracurricular activities

Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:

  • A 2:1 degree or higher in a Humanities subject (History, English, Geography, etc.)
  • A genuine passion for education and working with young people
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and flexible attitude
  • Ability to build rapport with students and staff
  • Previous experience working with young people is advantageous but not essential
  • A desire to pursue a career in teaching, education, or youth support
