Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant – Up to £520 per week – Immediate Start

Location: Birmingham Secondary School

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic secondary school in Birmingham. This Graduate Maths Teaching Assistantrole is perfect for a graduate who has a passion for mathematics and wants to support students in their academic growth. As a Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant, you will assist with lesson delivery, help with classroom activities, and guide students through mathematical concepts and exercises.

Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups to improve their mathematical understanding
  • Assisting in lesson planning and delivery, ensuring students stay engaged and motivated
  • Helping students with revision, problem-solving techniques, and exam preparation
  • Encouraging curiosity and developing critical thinking skills through interactive activities
  • Providing support during classroom exercises and mathematical investigations
  • Promoting a positive and focused classroom environment
  • Working closely with the maths department and staff to meet the needs of all students, including those with special educational needs

Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:

  • A 2:1 degree or higher in a maths-related subject (e.g., Mathematics, Engineering, Economics)
  • A genuine passion for maths and teaching
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to break down complex ideas clearly
  • Previous experience in tutoring or education support is desirable but not essential
  • Patience, empathy, and a willingness to adapt to meet students' needs
