About This Role
In the role of Graduate Science Teaching Assistant, you will support the science department in creating a stimulating learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting teachers in delivering interactive and hands-on science lessons.
- Supporting students with their understanding of complex scientific concepts across biology, chemistry, and physics.
- Conducting one-on-one or group interventions to help students prepare for exams.
- Assisting with lab work, experiments, and demonstrations to make science come alive for students.
- Encouraging students to develop a love for science and helping them achieve their full potential.
As a Graduate Science Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key role in helping students succeed in their GCSEs and A-Levels, while gaining invaluable classroom experience and building your skillset for future teacher training.
Key Requirements:
- A recent science-related degree (Russell Group university graduates preferred).
- A genuine interest in education and helping students excel.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in an educational setting or working with young people is desirable but not essential.
