This large and expanding academy school near Bootle has a long-term vacancy for a Graduate Science Teaching Assistant. The school is specifically looking for a science graduate who has a 1st or 2:1 degree and matching A levels and GCSE’s.
As a Graduate Science Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting the science department in the delivery of an exciting curriculum. The school has amazing resources and facilities that you will see in action as part of the teaching process. Science is considered a “Live” subject – ie, on top of live in class experiments - active learning, school trips and leaving the classroom are at the top of the agenda.
The role will see you work closely with students who are falling behind their targeted grades for a variety of reasons. Some of these students will have additional needs who require support with areas of the science curriculum on a 1-to-1 and small group basis. The school are looking for a highly-academic graduate with a passion for education that can make a difference to these students and have a major impact.
If you are interested in teacher training – this school is a part of a teacher training programme and this academic year as a Graduate Science Teaching Assistant can be seen as a long term preparation for teacher training from September 2025.
