A well-established SEN (Special Education Needs) school based in North Sheffield is hoping to attract multiple resilient gradates to join their team as a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant. Students at this secondary SEN school have a variety of complex needs so a compassionate and empathetic individual with a passion for supporting SEN learners is required.

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant role:

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will assist classroom leaders in ensuring that a safe and nurturing learning environment is maintained – responding to the individual needs of SEN learners with personalised support. Some students may have severe needs and a level of personal care may be required. These Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant roles are ideal for candidates that are hoping to gain relevant experience in order to pursue carers in fields adjacent to education, SEN and care. You will work with students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis to ensure that they are able to achieve their academic goals, and to develop their social and emotional skills at the same time.
