This role is perfect for a Psychology graduate, or someone with a related degree, who is eager to work with SEN learners, providing 1:1 and small group support to ensure they can fully access their education and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Any relevant experience working with SEN learners, either in education, care, or voluntary settings, would be hugely advantageous.

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Full-time, long-term Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant role based in a Salford secondary school
  • Competitive salary of up to £520 per week, with opportunities for career growth
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Work with SEN learners in small groups or 1:1, providing personalised academic and emotional support
  • Help students overcome barriers to learning, making education accessible for all
  • Relevant experience is highly advantageous, whether in educational, voluntary, or care settings
  • Gain valuable experience for careers in Educational Psychology, SEN teaching, or Speech and Language Therapy
  • Collaborate with experienced SEN specialists to implement effective learning strategies
  • No prior teaching experience required—just a passion for supporting SEN learners and a Psychology (or related) degree

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who face a variety of learning challenges, from autism and ADHD to specific learning difficulties. You’ll help break down the barriers to their learning, using tailored strategies to support their development and ensuring they feel engaged and confident in the classroom.

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in the school’s SEN provision.
