Graduate Teaching Assistant

This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and high-achieving secondary school in Westminster, London. The role is full time, Monday to Friday, starting as soon as possible and running until at least July, with a strong likelihood of becoming permanent from September for the right candidate.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with subject teachers within your degree specialism, supporting learning in lessons, delivering small-group and 1:1 interventions, and helping students to build confidence, resilience and academic skills. You will gain first-hand exposure to lesson planning, classroom management, assessment, and pastoral support—making this an ideal stepping stone for graduates who are serious about training as a teacher or pursuing a long-term career in education.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils in lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Delivering targeted academic interventions
  • Working with students who require additional support
  • Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
  • Acting as a positive role model for students

This role is ideal for a confident, enthusiastic graduate with strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to make a difference in young people’s lives.
