This Outstanding and progressive secondary school – 11 to 18 years provision – has room to accommodate at least 4 graduate teaching assistants in STEM. No previous experience as a mentor or graduate teaching assistant is required.
The school is looking for raw talented graduates who have a love for their chosen field/ subject. The school will give you all of the tools that you need to become a valuable graduate teaching assistant.
As a graduate teaching assistant in STEM you will be deployed into the classroom to inspire young learners. You will support classroom teachers, work in small groups and, with training and experience, take study groups that will help raise attainment in STEM.
Previous STEM graduate teaching assistants have reported that the school is a very supportive and welcoming place for graduates. Teachers and department leaders understand that you will need support – you will be gradually introduced to the tools and mechanisms of teaching, and you will be asked to import your subject knowledge and enthusiasm to help young learners traverse GCSE and A Level courses.
