  • Resource Management: Liaise with senior management to ensure proper resource allocation for HSE activities, managing operations within agreed resource parameters
  • Training & Development: Ensure all staff are adequately trained in health, safety, food safety, and environmental procedures, and lead ongoing safety education and skill development across all departments
  • HSE Communication: Ensure that all relevant health, safety, and environmental information is communicated effectively to the workforce, and provide clear guidance on safety protocols and best practices
  • Environmental Responsibility: Promote sustainability and environmental consciousness in day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and encouraging eco-friendly practices within the site

Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental management, ideally within a food manufacturing or industrial setting
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, food hygiene), health and safety laws, and environmental policies
  • Strong experience in implementing and maintaining HSE reporting systems, including incident tracking and root cause analysis
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence staff at all levels
  • NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification (essential), along with a relevant environmental qualification (e.g., IEMA)
  • A proactive, solution-oriented approach, with the ability to lead change and foster a safety-first culture
  • Knowledge of environmental sustainability initiatives and a commitment to improving site environmental performance
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary: £55,000 per annum
  • Flexible Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM with flexibility to suit your work-life balance
