Duties:
Site Engineer
Tarporley
£38,000 per annum
You will play a crucial role in ensuring that manufacturing operations run smoothly, safely, and effectively to meet production goals, based at their head office in Tarporly, you will;
General tasks:
- Oversight of maintenance for various equipment including shrink wrappers, pumps, drives, ink jet labels, mixers, conveyor belts, and other machinery involved in the manufacturing process.
- Perform scheduled and on-demand maintenance tasks to minimize operational downtime and address quality concerns.
- Spearhead efforts to enhance machinery performance and operational processes in accordance with the manufacturing strategy.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment faults, conducting repairs for both site and factory machinery breakdowns.
- Provide assistance to shift managers in resolving equipment failures.
- Ensure clear and efficient communication and reporting on maintenance activities and equipment faults.
In Addition
- Notify the Site Manager of any on-site health and safety concerns.
- Report any food safety issues to the Head of Production.
- Operate machinery solely as instructed and authorized.
- Maintain diligence on-site and interact respectfully with all staff and visitors.
- Ensure maintenance aligns with legislative, business, and site procedures.
- Perform maintenance and repairs exclusively on machines for which you have received training
Are you
- Qualified electrically or mechanically with demonstratable experience as a multi-skilled engineer
- Desire and ability to deliver results
- Passion to continually learn new machinery and engage with machine manufacturers to build engineering skills
- Good communication skills
- Self-motivated with high standards
- An organised team player with a positive outlook and proactive approach
- Honesty and integrity
- Demonstrates a flexible approach to work that is focused on “getting the job done”
