Maintenance Technician

Monday – Friday

8:00 – 17:00 (37.5 hours per week)


£28k - £30k DOE

Do you have previous vehicle technician or mechanical experience looking for a new challenge to further utilise your skills? As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for the detailed and accurate assessment of repairs submitted approved repair. All repairs should be assessed and approved in accordance with the terms and conditions of the policy purchased, and the Warranty Technician will use their experience and technical vehicle knowledge to qualify these. Repairs should be authorised, amended or rejected in accordance with the product guidelines. The Warranty Technician will provide remote technical support for the plan holders and approved repair network on the correct repair submission and warranty procedures.

Key Duties: 

  • Ensure full, concise diagnostics and quality control are completed on all repair requests, and to qualify the repair requests
  • Liaise with all relevant parties and highlight areas for concern, opportunities to develop the processes and further reduce excess repair costs
  • Liaise with the approved repair network personnel, along with policy holders and independent assessors to support repair administration
  • Provide knowledge, expertise, and support to the maintenance team by sharing technical guidance and experience
  • Proactively find all relevant data and clearly identify the reasons for accepting, amending, or rejecting repairs
  • Administer and review the necessary documentation to support the warranty repairs
  • Accept and resolve enquiries from plan holders and the approved repair network

Skills Required: 

  • The ideal candidate will need to have a background as a vehicle technician, vehicle mechanic or workshop controller, with demonstrable automotive warranty and technical experience
  • customer service experience and confident communication skills
  • Self-motivated approach
  • Have a growth mindset and the ability to embrace change
  • Remain calm with a professional approach under pressure
  • Proficient on systems
  • Attention to detail
