KPI Recruiting are on the look out for a Manufacturing Operative for our client based in Birmingham.

As a Manufacturing Operative your working days and hours are:

• Monday- Thursday
• 07:00- 19:00

The rate of pay as a Manufacturing Operative is:

• Days £11.44 p/h
• Nights £13.23 p/h

Duties and responsibilities as a Manufacturing Operative are:

• Coil manufactured product to the specified dimensions neatly and at the required line speeds, using manual and semi-automatic coilers
• Pack, label and correctly stack the coils onto pallets or into boxes
• Wrap and label the completed pallets/boxes to the required specifications using stretch-wrap
• Use of the pedestrian pallet trucks
• Safely handle and correctly load materials into extruder hoppers or mixers
• Ensure housekeeping is maintained and keep the working area clean and tidy at all times
• Ensure scrap and non-conforming products are kept to a minimum and disposed of correctly
• Follow the correct manual handling techniques
• Any other duties of a similar nature as required by your line manager

The ideal candidate for a Manufacturing Operative would need:

• A good level of Maths and English
• Able to operate machinery
• Able to work methodically
• Have good attention to detail
• Be punctual and flexible
• Able to work as part of a team, and also on their own initiative
