Psychology Graduate – SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you a passionate Psychology graduate looking to gain meaningful experience working with children with additional needs?

A highly inclusive and well-resourced secondary school in Camden is looking for a driven and compassionate Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their SEN support team. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates who are considering careers in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Specialist Teaching.

Working closely with students who have EHCPs, you’ll support those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and communication challenges. You’ll provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver personalised support to students with additional learning and emotional needs
  • Work with pupils displaying challenging behaviour, using evidence-based strategies
  • Assist students with ASD and communication difficulties, supporting social interaction and independence
  • Collaborate with therapists, SENCOs, and teaching staff to ensure holistic support
  • Develop your knowledge of EHCPs, adaptive teaching, and early intervention
