The Role – Graduate SEN Tutor
As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll contribute directly to students' progress and happiness every day.
Whether you're supporting a child with speech and language needs, helping anxious pupils settle into school routines, or co-facilitating wellbeing workshops, your psychology background will inform everything you do.
This position offers exceptional preparation for those considering educational psychology, play therapy, child psychotherapy, or SENCO training, giving you practical understanding of assessment, intervention, and multi-agency working.
The school wants a dedicated, self-aware graduate who can balance warmth with professionalism. You should be proactive in seeking learning opportunities, comfortable with ambiguity, and driven by a genuine desire to advocate for children's needs.
What’s on Offer
- Full-time Graduate SEN Tutor role (Monday-Friday, term time only) - Hours 8:30am to 3:30pm

Ideal Candidate – Graduate SEN Tutor
- Degree in a Social Science, Psychology or Education is preferable, but we are open to other academic qualifications (2:2 minimum)
- Enthusiastic about helping young people learn and progress
- Some experience working with young people is preferable
- Strong communicator with good communication skills & empathetic nature
- Professional, committed, and proactive
- Must have the right to work in the UK
