Are you a skilled machine operator with the ability to use CNC machinery? Look no further! KPI Recruiting Ltd is seeking a dedicated individual to join our dynamic team in Wigan.

Position: Skilled Machine operator

Location: Manchester area/Wigan

Hours: Full-time, 36.5 hours per week

Schedule: Monday to Wednesday 6am – 3:45pm; Thursday, 6am - 3:15pm

Hourly Rate: £12.10 p/h

Our client is currently in the process of moving sites, therefore the role would be in the Manchester area until July before moving to the wigan area.

Travel expenses will be paid up until a maximum of 19.6 miles at £0.45 per mile.

Key tasks and Responsibilities as a Skilled Machine Operator:

• Set and operate metal fabrication punching and bending machines and other associated machinery to drawing specification.
• Use various types of measuring equipment to ensure work is to the correct standard to drawing.
• Download programs and drawings to correct issue level from the database using a PC.
• Carry out and record daily safety checks before using equipment, and to report any faults to Supervision immediately.
• Train other employees (including apprentices) to operate the machinery safely.

Requirements as a Skilled Machine Operator:

• Must have at least 3 years’ experience of CNC punch press or CNC press break
• Be mechanically minded and be able to read drawings and use measuring equipment to basic standards.
• Be able to function with minimum supervision and understand clear concise instructions
