A position has arisen for a Transport Administrator to join this modern, forward thinking and successful business in the Horwich area.  They have been established for almost 50 years and going from strength to strength.

The successful candidate will be organised, approachable and reliable with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, you will have the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and have good time management skills.  

Key responsibilities;

  • Preparing and submitting installation loading orders
  • Checking loading sheets, ensuring they match with shipping details
  • Working closely with Warehouse Supervisors daily to discuss vehicle allocation
  • Advising fitters and drivers of their workload and vehicle allocation for the next working day
  • Accurately inputting customer orders ensuring all codes, prices and descriptions are correct
  • Liaising with external courier companies
  • Ensuring customer discrepancies are highlighted to the customer
  • Amending details on the in-house system
  • Keeping up to date with product developments
  • Producing customer quotations
  • Handling customer queries and enquiries and ensuring they are resolved in line with company standards
