Graduate Pastoral Support Worker
Have you recently graduated in an academic subject from a good UK University and are considering a career in teaching and education?
Would you relish the opportunity to work full-time in Northallerton with students in various classes and on a 1:1 basis to help regulate their behaviour?
Are you keen to gain valuable experience with Secondary School students requiring additional support to help manage and regulate behaviour in and out of the classroom?
Job specification:
- Graduate Pastoral Support Worker
- Help manage the school's on-call system - whereby teachers call for Pastoral Support Workers for support to help regulate student behaviour when needed
- Take students requiring time out from lessons to the Reset Room to help calm and regulate their behaviour
- Check out-of-lesson passes for students outside classrooms during lesson time
- Help staff members support students unable to spend whole lessons in-class
- Support class teachers in ensuring good order is maintained
- Ensure students are on-task during lessons to promote a strong learning atmosphere and instil passion for learning

Full relevant training in supporting behaviour management and ensuring good order will be given.
