KPI Education are working in partnership with an ambitious and well-regarded secondary school in Ealing to appoint an academically strong Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering or Computer Science graduate looking to build meaningful experience in education.

You will be joining a dynamic STEM faculty committed to high standards, innovative teaching and strong academic outcomes.

The Role

As a Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support teaching and learning across Maths and/or Science lessons at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 exposure available for strong candidates)
  • Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions to raise attainment
  • Stretch and challenge high-ability pupils aiming for top universities
  • Support pupils preparing for GCSEs and A-Levels
  • Assist with practical experiments and STEM-based projects
  • Develop behaviour management and classroom leadership skills

You will gain invaluable insight into lesson planning, assessment and curriculum delivery, providing excellent preparation for a future PGCE or salaried teacher training route.

Who We’re Looking For

  • A First-Class or strong 2:1 degree in a STEM subject (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Computer Science or related field)
  • Strong A-Level and GCSE results, particularly in Maths and Science
  • A genuine interest in pursuing a teaching career
  • Confident communication skills and academic credibility
  • A proactive, resilient and professional attitude

Previous tutoring, mentoring or school experience is desirable but not essential. The school is particularly keen to meet graduates who can act as positive academic role models within STEM.
