The school prioritises staff wellbeing and have built a strong staff community. Pastoral care of students is second to none, and their behaviour is excellent. All of them know that they should ‘aim to be a pleasure to teach’. The teachers offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities to nurture and develop the talents and potential of students.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, the role will be an important process to yours and the student’s future as this will enable them to connect to learning on a more intimate level. You will be in control of leading and supporting either 1:1 or small group interventions for underachieving students. This will benefit them greatly as they may struggle to focus on a large lesson and will benefit from the smaller and closer group. Its key to have a supportive and encouraging personality to help these students achieve their targets.

You would be classroom based, but there would also be opportunity to further utilise your skills to lead after-school clubs / child psychology sessions.
