We are excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a highly experienced team at our client's site in Warrington. The role focuses on performing planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring optimal performance of the plant in line with health, safety, and quality standards, while driving improvements across the site.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate experience working safely within a chemical manufacturing and processing facility, adhering to all relevant safety protocols and regulations.
- Maintain and ensure the optimal performance of chemical blending processes, weighing systems, mixing tanks, bulk storage tanks, valves, pumps, and compressed air systems.
- Exhibit strong fault-finding skills with the ability to diagnose and prioritise maintenance tasks effectively to minimise downtime.
- Support the efficiency, reliability, and continuous improvement of production processes through proactive maintenance and collaboration with operational teams.
- Participate in engineering projects such as commissioning, installations, and relocations, ensuring smooth execution and compliance with specifications.
- Show proficiency in mechanical fitting, pipework, flanges, gaskets, drive systems, control valves, and pump maintenance.
- Accurately record and log maintenance activities on the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for tracking and reporting purposes.
Skills/Experience Required
- A recognized engineering apprenticeship and formal qualification.
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer in an industrial, process, chemical or manufacturing environment.
- Ideally you will have experience in welding (TIG) & fabrication.
