KPI Education are working with ambitious and forward-thinking secondary schools across London to appoint exceptional Russell Group Graduate Teaching Assistants. These roles are specifically designed for academically strong graduates who want to make a genuine impact while building the foundations for a long-term career in education.
The Opportunity
As a Russell Group Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a key academic role within your subject department. This is not a general support position — schools are seeking graduates who can stretch, challenge and inspire pupils.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting lessons within your subject specialism (KS3–KS5)
- Delivering targeted 1:1 and small group interventions
- Supporting GCSE and A-Level preparation
- Stretching high-attaining pupils aiming for top grades and Russell Group universities
- Assisting with lesson planning and curriculum delivery
- Monitoring and tracking pupil progress
You will gain invaluable experience in behaviour management, differentiation and assessment — providing outstanding preparation for a PGCE or salaried teacher training route.
Who We’re Looking For
- A First-Class or strong 2:1 degree from a Russell Group university
- Excellent A-Level and GCSE results
- A clear ambition to pursue a career in teaching
- Strong subject knowledge and academic confidence
- Professional communication skills and classroom presence
- A proactive and reflective mindset
Graduates in core subjects (English, Maths, Science), Humanities, MFL, Psychology and Computer Science are particularly in demand.
Previous tutoring or mentoring experience is beneficial but not essential — academic strength and long-term commitment to education are key.
