The Role – Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
- Full-time, long-term role starting immediately
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with complex needs
- Assist with emotional regulation, communication, and social interaction
- Adapt learning resources and support pupils during lessons
- Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and therapists to deliver personalised support plans
- Help maintain a calm, structured, and engaging classroom environment
Person Specification
- A 2:1 degree or above in Psychology (or a related subject)
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, SEMH, or autism (desirable but not essential)
- Calm, empathetic, patient, and confident in supporting vulnerable learners
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for SEN education, mental health, and child development
