Duties:
Job Title: Technical Operations Associate (Systems)
Location: Crewe, UK
Working Arrangement: 5 days per week on-site
Shift Pattern: 9-hour shifts, typically Monday to Friday (1893 hours annually, offering approximately 5 extra weeks off per year)
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: £42,313 per annum
- Bonus: 10% based on performance targets
- Additional Rewards: £50 per month reward spend (options include alcohol, dental, shares plan, or pension contribution)
- Holidays: 26 days annual leave + bank holidays
Team Structure:
- You will be joining a team of three, reporting directly to the Technical & Services Manager.
Interview Process:
- Interviews scheduled for mid-week during the week commencing 19th August.
- Single interview round including an assessment.
Role Overview:
As a Technical Operations Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the technical systems that support a fully automated warehouse and other critical business applications. Your role will also include providing desktop support to both on-site and remote users, as well as network support for the Crewe site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support technical systems critical to warehouse automation and business operations.
- Provide desktop support for on-site and remote users, along with network support for the Crewe facility.
- Identify, lead, and implement system enhancements to meet new business requirements, involving detailed planning and execution.
- Engage in the management of systems/applications linked to the Warehouse Management System and SAP.
- Work on ancillary systems, including B2B, B2C, track and trace systems, EDI, and related software and hardware.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience with operational systems, ideally within a corporate IT environment.
- Hands-on desktop support experience (not helpdesk).
- Knowledge and experience with SAP, particularly in Warehouse Management Systems.
- Experience working with Red Hat Linux.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks.
- Proficiency in Oracle/SQL for manipulation and query execution.
- Understanding of PLC communications within robotic/automated warehouse environments.
- Strong networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with team members and stakeholders.
