Location: Greater Manchester
Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Annual Leave: 23 days + bank holidays
Contract: Full-time, permanent

A well-established and respected asbestos consultancy is continuing to grow and is now looking to recruit an experienced Asbestos Laboratory Analyst to join its professional and supportive team. The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a P401-qualified Asbestos Lab Analyst with previous laboratory experience to work in a well-equipped, UKAS-accredited environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in the accurate analysis of asbestos-containing materials, ensuring all work is carried out in line with current legislation, industry standards, and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse asbestos bulk/material samples using polarised light microscopy (PLM)
• Accurately record, interpret, and report analytical results
• Ensure all testing is conducted in compliance with UKAS, HSG248, and company quality systems
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure correct calibration and housekeeping standards
• Follow strict health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment
• Assist with internal audits, quality checks, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and management regarding workloads and results
