We are delighted to present outstanding permanent Design Technology Teacher opportunities in well-equipped departments across leading Leeds secondary schools beginning September 2025. We are specifically seeking Design Technology Teachers specialising in:

• Product Design: Teaching students to design and create a variety of products, from everyday objects to complex engineering solutions, while developing understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and design principles.
• Graphics and Visual Communication: Guiding students in exploring how visual elements convey information, promote products, and create effective communication materials.
• Food Preparation and Nutrition: Developing students' knowledge of food science, nutrition, cooking techniques, and skills in creating delicious and healthy dishes.
• Textiles: Supporting students in working with fabrics, sewing techniques, and creating innovative textile-based products.
• Engineering: Introducing students to various engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, civil, and architectural technology.
• Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Manufacturing (CAM): Teaching students to use industry-standard software and machines to design and manufacture products, often integrating with traditional methods.

Location: Leeds
Salary: £31,650 (M1 on the Leeds City Region Teacher Pay Scale)

Design Technology Teacher candidate requirements
