Graduate Primary Classroom Assistant: Candidate Specification

We are looking for a bright, motivated Graduate Primary Classroom Assistant with:

-          Graduated from a top-leading University with a 2:1 or higher in Education, English or Humanities, Social Sciences, Child Development, Maths or Science (or related degree)

-          You’ve spent some time working with children, whether it was tutoring, mentoring, summer camps or just being the go-to homework helper in your family

-          Excellent time management & organisational skills – You can juggle a few things at once and still remember where you left your cup of tea (mostly)

-          As a Graduate Primary Classroom Assistant, you should have a confident, and kind approach to behavioural management

As a Graduate Primary Classroom Assistant each day is different, but your role will include:

-          Bringing lessons to life by supporting the teacher with creative, inclusive, and hands-on activities

-          Offering a helping hand to children who need extra guidance, whether one-on-one or in small group

-          Getting stuck into story time, phonics fun, maths mysteries, and writing adventures

-          Keeping everyone safe and sound, following all health, safety, and safeguarding guidelines with care

-          Joining in the fun – school trips, theme days, assemblies, and maybe even a bit of fancy dress!
