The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support students across KS3 and KS4 within the classroom.
  • Work alongside class teachers to help deliver engaging and accessible lessons.
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group academic support where required.
  • Assist with classroom management and student engagement.
  • Support pupils with a range of learning needs and abilities.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

This role offers excellent exposure to mainstream secondary education and is a strong foundation for teacher training or other education-related career pathways.

Person Specification

We are looking for a graduate who:

  • Holds a 2:1 or above in any degree subject (Education, Psychology, English, Maths, or related subjects desirable).
  • Has a genuine interest in working with young people and education.
  • Is enthusiastic, patient, and reliable.
  • Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Has experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential).
