The Opportunity
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will gain comprehensive exposure to life in a mainstream secondary school by:
- Supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a classroom-based setting.
- Working closely with subject teachers to help deliver engaging and accessible lessons.
- Providing 1:1 and small-group academic support to help students reach their full potential.
- Assisting with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and behaviour management.
- Supporting students of varying abilities, including those requiring additional guidance.
- Developing your understanding of teaching strategies, curriculum delivery, and student progress.

Person Specification
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a 2:1 or above in their degree subject (core academic subjects and Psychology are particularly desirable).
- Demonstrate a genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
- Be professional, reliable, and enthusiastic.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have prior experience working with children or young people (desirable, but not essential).
