Nights (Sunday - Thursday 22.00 - 06.00)

We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician/Production Operative to support the manufacture of adsorptive, protective, and related products. This is a hands-on manufacturing role involving the operation of production machinery, associated equipment, and computer-based systems within a regulated production environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate production machinery and equipment to trained standards, following approved procedures
  • Achieve maximum production output while maintaining defined quality standards and minimising waste
  • Select, move, and control materials used in the manufacturing process
  • Complete accurate production records and documentation in line with safety and environmental standards
  • Maintain high standards of cleaning and housekeeping across machines, work areas, and the wider facility
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and operational efficiency
  • Carry out additional duties reasonably assigned within the scope of the role
  • Make machine adjustments within approved operating parameters to maintain optimal performance and product quality
  • Stop or interrupt production where continued operation may compromise safety, quality, or equipment integrity 

 

 

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

 

  • Experience working with production machinery and manufacturing processes in a similar environment
  • Strong awareness of health, safety, and environmental requirements within manufacturing
  • Experience working within a safety-accredited environment is desirable 
  • IOSH Working Safely qualification is advantageous 
  • Ability to work independently, think logically, and solve problems effectively 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Competence in completing accurate, timely reports using computer-based systems
